  • Describe your favorite poet and what you enjoyed most about studying a bit of poetry.
  • Describe what you would like to practice more, what you are not quite understanding yet.


3. Journal Entry #1:The Benefits of College?

    • What are the personal and societal benefits of a college education? What are your future education plans?
      • There are two parts to the question, so be sure to address all parts. Describe in as much detail as possible the benefits of college, then everything you plan to do, where you plan to go to college or career training or military etc. and why.
  • The purpose of this Journal is to get you to think about who you are and the experiences and thinking that has shaped your life. This will lead to writing your personal insight questions which are part of your application for college. Be cautious what you write. Only share that which you are comfortable having others know.

Requirements:

  • Keep your pen/pencil moving the entire time and write with as much detail and examples as possible.
  • Each entry in your Journal must be one or more hand written pages.
  • You must strive to be thoughtful and honest.
  • This is a place to think and create. Use it.
  • If you find a prompt difficult commit to it, don't give up. Analyze it and dive in!
